Taking Care During the COVID-19 Pandemic

We are still shipping orders daily, Monday to Friday.
We know that many of you are worried about the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in Canada, and concerned about how this might affect your delivery of healthcare and incontinence supplies.
Per the Government of Ontario's guidelines for essential businesses, Healthwick is considered an essential service as we provide shipping of necessary medical supplies. As such, we will continue to operate during the province-wide shutdown at this time.
Additionally here are the steps we're taking to ensure we can continue to help you take care in the coming weeks:
1) Keeping Our Facility Safe and Healthy
Our staff at our office and warehouse in Oakville is taking all available steps to ensure that we remain healthy and that our facility is able to ship your next order. This includes twice daily cleaning, working from home where possible and rotating shifts of employees to minimize contact with each other.
2) Reducing External Contact
Effective last week, our office is closed to walk-in customers. We will continue to honour local order pickup, but we ask that you call ahead to book a time, and your order will be placed in a secure location so you do not have to come in contact with our staff when picking up your order.
3) Stocking and Shipping Orders Early
We have pre-ordered a larger amount of inventory than is usual, so that we can ensure we're well-stocked in case of a disruption from our suppliers.
4) Working with Delivery Partners
Both Canada Post and UPS (our delivery partners) have updated their operations as part of the pandemic response.
This means that they've waived the requirement for signatures and will leave parcels at your front door if it is safe to do so (i.e. a private home, an apartment with a designated concierge, etc). Only if your address is not considered secure, such as an apartment building to which they can't get access or a private home that doesn't have a space to leave a parcel, will they route your parcel to a local pick-up centre.

Do you have any protective masks or hand sanitizer available?
No. Unfortunately our small supply of protective masks and hand sanitizer were sold out early and supply continues to be difficult to find across the country, particularly as our healthcare system needs these items in high volume right now.
Per the W.H.O. recommendations, thoroughly washing your hands with soap and water and avoiding touching your face continues to be the most effective way to avoid transmission of the novel coronavirus.
Are you still shipping?
Yes! Our warehouse continues to ship orders daily from Monday to Friday and most orders in the Greater Toronto Area arrive next day.
What will happen if mail/parcel delivery stops in Canada?
Please note that this is still very unlikely, as mail service has continued even in the hardest hit areas of the world during the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, in the case that mail or parcel delivery service is halted in Canada, we will not be able to ship orders. We will make every effort to ship orders immediately as soon as mail service resumes.
