We have a wide selection of maximum absorbency products, as well as items for lower level incontinence that are sure to meet all of your needs.
For urinary incontinence in women, getting to the toilet in time can be an issue. This is referred to as functional incontinence. A common product to help with this type of incontinence is a pad. Pads are great for light to moderate levels of incontinence and are easy to remove and replace.
For men experiencing the same issue a male guard is the best recommended product. Male guards are made specifically with the male anatomy in mind and therefore provide thorough, thought out protection.
For someone experiencing a heavier level of incontinence, using absorbency underwear would be the best solution. This product is applied by pulling up the absorbency product; same as a traditional undergarment. Using absorbency underwear is great for people who are new to incontinence as it uses familiar motions to put on and take off. For severe incontinence, an absorbency brief works best, as it is the most absorbent carried product. Absorbency briefs are favoured by caregivers as they can be changed standing up or lying down.
For those with severe incontinence, try a booster pad. Booster Pads are a great way to double up on protection. Booster pads go inside your absorbency product. Booster pads are different from regular incontinence pads as they do not have a plastic backing. The plastic backings found on incontinence pads prevent liquid from seeping through, therefore prompting the extra liquid to escape from the sides causing leakage. Booster allow the extra liquid to go through, then absorbed by the diaper. This allows for the booster pad and the diaper to work together to prevent leakage.
Another area that Healthwick specialises in is skin care and skin health. Most absorbency products can be very dry on the skin and can sometimes cause rashes. We provide products to prevent this including ointments, rash creams, cleansers, sanitizers, washes and creams. For optimal comfort it is best to pair one of these items with your absorbency products.
