Bowel incontinence or fecal incontinence, occurs when a person has limited or no control of their bowel, resulting in involuntary fecal elimination. It maybe a slight passage of stool on an occasional basis or total loss of bowel control, and can be caused by a wide range of conditions.
Whatever the cause, persons managing bowel incontinence should look for well-fitted and highly absorbent products with features like standing guards and leg elastics, to contain solids and help reduce orders.
Measure both the hips and the waist of the individual and use whichever measurement is larger to find the correct size. A properly fitted product should be snug on the body, but not tight.
